For instance, VHS tapes, DVDs, or Blu-rays have been packaged with Harry Potter soundtracks, toys (Fluffy, Dobby), documentary materials (booklets, mini-books, bonus discs), trading cards, posters, and/or prop or staging replicas (bookmarks, wands, Marauders Map, Hogwarts Castle, Gringotts coins). Sometimes the additional items are relatively commonplace, other times exclusively rare. ![]() Whatever the item(s) added on, it creates a unique combination of Harry Potter collectibles or items that appeals to various kinds of buyers. “Exclusive Edition” – Released only by one store/chain, with additional video content or collectible items which only that store’s edition contains. Often, editions with special collectible items are numbered (e.g., #3854 of 5000) and the number appears somewhere on the case or on some item packed inside the case. “Limited Edition” or “Collector’s Edition” or “Deluxe Edition” – Released in smaller quantities than “standard” or “special” editions, and usually containing some kind of official collectible. “Special Edition”– Released for sale by any distributing outlet, but includes something different from the “standard” edition – usually an additional disc of special/bonus features.
